Is there a dental lab technician course online in India?

Accepted Answer

Yes. MCDI offers an Online Dental Lab Technician Course of about 10 hours covering dental materials, crown and bridge work, dentures and the digital dental laboratory. It is suitable for learners across India.

Question 2

Is this dental technician course a diploma?

Accepted Answer

No. This is a short certificate course and not a diploma or degree in dental technology. It gives a structured foundation and does not replace a recognised diploma or registration where one is required.

Question 3

What will I learn in the dental lab technician course?

Accepted Answer

You will learn dental materials, model and die work, crown and bridge fabrication, complete and partial dentures, orthodontic appliances and an introduction to CAD/CAM and 3D printing.

Question 4

Can I learn dental technology online?

Accepted Answer

The theory, workflows and decision-making can be learnt online, and the course explains each laboratory step clearly. Practical skills still need to be built with hands-on work in a dental laboratory.

Accepted Answer

Yes. A module covers the digital dental laboratory, including intraoral scans, CAD software such as exocad, milling of zirconia and PMMA, and 3D printing.

It suits aspiring technicians, lab assistants, working technicians updating their knowledge, and dentists who want to understand laboratory procedures.

Yes. All participants who complete the course receive a certificate of completion from MCDI.

Question 8

Is the dental lab technician course self-paced?

Accepted Answer

The course is delivered online and includes case-based discussions and live Q&A sessions with faculty. Contact MCDI for the current schedule and format.
